Formatting[edit]

I have been bold and decided to use my own formatting for this quotes page. There is an essay Why an alternative formatting is needed which explains the new formatting. Pleaes express your opinions regarding the new layout at the essay's talk page.

Please do not change the layout of this article until a community consensus had been reached. :-) I hope that this style of formatting will be accepted as an option, I am not saying all quotes pages should follow this formatting. Thank you for any feedback.

A new template Quote box as been developed for this purpose the technical details of which can be discussed if needed. The template is in my user space until the community has time to comment on it. I have mentioned this in the village pump as well to draw attention to the new template. Mehmet Karatay 18:22, 21 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorting[edit]

The article has not been sorted alphabetically as I ignored the rules and felt a chronological order was more appropriate for the content. Although this is a themed article, due to the style of all the sources, it can be thought of as a compilation of literary works. As I understand it literary quotes are placed in chronological order. If any future sections are more general and not directly from important literary works tracing the history of the mountain then that section can of course be alphabetised.
