[edit]Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! – Ilovemydoodle (Not WMF, Not a sockpuppet of Antandrus, Not a paid editor of Shueisha) (talk / e-mail) 20:12, 20 June 2022 (UTC)
- Hello! Thanks for the information. I will take that into consideration henceforth. I am only editing pages about which I have extensive knowledge, but a short summary is easily added. Trakking (talk) 20:56, 20 June 2022 (UTC)

Your Template
[edit]Hello Trakking, sorry for all the multiple overlapping edits over there but I had some ideas regarding your "Conservatism Navbox."
Considering my preliminary solution of renaming the whole table into "Conservative thinkers", might I add a series of unambiguously conservative writers (T. E. Lawrence, J. R. R. Tolkien, Evelyn Waugh, W. B. Yeats, William Wordsworth, Rudyard Kipling, Saul Bellow, Michel Houellebecq...) as well?
You may, of course, revert my edits, but I would appreciate if we could find a common ground here first. Biohistorian15 (talk) 18:44, 7 April 2024 (UTC)
- Hello. I changed it back to "Philosophers," but we could rename it "Intellectuals" and add people like Tolkien etc. Trakking (talk) 19:04, 7 April 2024 (UTC)
- Alternatively, what about a "Political writers Navbox" with a "conservatism" sub-category, where to we could also e.g. move Dostoevsky...? Furthermore, this might also make sense insofar as I've already added some more obscure "thinkers" in the more scientific than poetic sense from the "social and political philosophers" template... Biohistorian15 (talk) 18:46, 7 April 2024 (UTC)
- I appreciate many of your edits, but no, we should not create another template nor broaden the current one to "writers," because it is extensive enough and people would have a hard time navigating it. Trakking (talk) 19:10, 7 April 2024 (UTC)
- Ok, no problem. Do you think, we should add Ayn Rand to either template? Biohistorian15 (talk) 07:54, 8 April 2024 (UTC)
- Rand is included in the ”Social and political philosophy” template in the Liberal section, but she was an anti-conservative liberal so she does not belong in the Conservatism template. Trakking (talk) 08:33, 8 April 2024 (UTC)
