Voltron: Defender of the Universe

Voltron: Defender of the Universe is the collective name of several anime-style Super Robot animated series. The Voltron canon includes English language adaptations of two anime series (Hyakujuu-o Golion, or Lion Force Voltron, and Kikou Kantai Dairugger XV, or Vehicle Voltron) produced by Toei Animation and originally aired in Japan from 1981 to 1983, as well as an American-originating third series, Voltron: The Third Dimension.

Lion Voltron (Golion)

First Doomite Robot: Humans are so stupid!

Specially trained and sent by the alliance to bring back, Voltron: Defender of the Universe." - Narrator (voiced by Peter Cullen, also the voice of Commander Hawkins on Vehicle Voltron, as well as the voice of Optimus Prime on Transformers.)

• Pidge: "Did you know your nose wiggles when you're upset?"

Keith: "My FIST wiggles, too!"

Vehicle Voltron (Dairugger XV)

• Jeff: "Air Team...Ready for action!"

• Cric: "Sea Team...Ready for action!"

• Cliff: "Land Team...Ready for action!"

• Jeff: "Air Team...Separate!" - command to split the Strato Fighter apart.

• Cric: "Sea Team...Separate!" - command to split the Aqua Fighter apart.

• Cliff: "Land Team...Separate!" - command to split the Turbo-Terrain Fighter apart.

• Jeff: "Land Team, form legs...Sea Team, form torso and arms...Air Team, form head! (Commands to form Voltron, used on one episode. On other episodes, Jeff gave the same commands as Keith on Lion Voltron.)

Voltron - Third Dimension

• Keith (Forming Stealth Voltron): Activate Inter-Dimensional lock! Stealth Servo system connected! Stealth Engine at maximum! Quantum Thrusters are go! LET'S GO STEALTH VOLTRON FORCE!

Voltron: Legendary defender

(After seeing a space ship crash landing and the explosion near the site.)

• Pidge: Those explosions were a destraction (points) For him. See they are all going towards the explosion and he's running inside.
• Lance: (Pull the binoculars and sees Keith) Oh! No! he is not beating us in there!
• Hunk: Is it really him!
• Lance: Oh! Yes it is. I'll recognise that guy anywhere.
• Pidge: Who are you talking about?
• Lance: Keith! Come on Let go!

(After Lance, Hunk, Pidge, Keith and an unconscious Shiro board Keith's small ship.)

• Hunk: See, we did fit in.(directing to Keith who said they couldn't all fit.)
• Lance: Can't this thing go any faster?
• Keith: We can take out some non-essential products!
• Lance: (start to look around and quickly realises Keith was talking about them.) Wait! Wait! That was an insult wasn't it?

• Allura: It's a mystical bond the lions choose their pilots, together you will form something greater than science can explain. You will be tasked with defending the universe, the black lion has to be a born leader, someone who takes command and someone who people will follow the black lion also forms the head and torso for Voltron which is why Shiro you will pilot the black lion. The green lion has to be a pilot of intellect and daring, someone who thinks intellectual and be daring also, Pidge you will pilot the green lion. The pilot of the blue lion has to...

(Lance cuts her off.)

• Lance: wait let me guess, takes the best handsome slatch pilot bunch.
• Allura: The yellow lion however has to be kind and be able to put somebody else's needs before their own, someone who cares for everyone, Hunk you will pilot the yellow lion.
• Hunk: Huh?
• Allura: The pilot of the red lion is faster and more agile than the others, the pilot also relies on instinct and bravery. Keith you will pilot the red lion.
• Keith: yeah.
• Lance: What, this guy?

(pointing at Keith.)

• Hunk: So we'll form Voltron and defeat the evil emperor Zarkon, who hasn't been defeated in years is that right? I get that part, but how do I have to turn into a leg and also is this going to be long because I gotta pee.

(Everyone looks at Hunk)

(After many tries and intensive training of trying to form Voltron, the team finally succeeded in forming Voltron.)

Allura: (smiles) I knew they could do it, they just needed a common enemy.

Coran: That's true. Like the old saying says, "a man can be driven to do anything if a really, really beautiful woman is really mean to them".

• Lance: Now. Let go man up to that thing!

• Pidge: Wait! There's something I need to tell you guys, something I've been wanting to get it out of my chest. I can't really "man up" i can if I want to, but I can't actually do it. Cause I'm... I'm a girl.

• Shiro: About time. But I'm proud of you.

• Allura: Thank you for finally trusting us with your secret.

• Keith and Hunk: Hhmmh.

• Pidge: Glad that over. Now let's go man up to that thing!

• Lance: (Still shocked that Pidge is a girl.) Pidge is a whhhat! How long have I've been in that thing?

(Shiro approaches Pidge outside the castle of Arus)

Pidge: Why did you attack my brother? You were friends.

Shiro: I did it to save him (flashback from when he was in the Galra ship) We were forced to fight for Zarkon's pleasure, he was afraid. We were all afraid.

Matt: (Flashback Matt) I can't fight him, i'm too afraid. (Shiro looks at him and then he attacks the beast.)

Shiro: (Flashback shiro) I want blood! I'm thirsty for it.(suddenly he attacks Matt and speak softly to his ear) Take care of your father.(In the present Pidge hugs Shiro and cries.)

Pidge: I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. You attacked my brother to protect him, and I suspected you! I'm so sorry!

Shiro: Don't worry, your brother and father would be so proud of you.

Pidge: Huh!? (Stops hugging him and crying)

Shiro: Don't worry your secret's safe with me.

(S7/E4)

(The team is transported to a game show called Gargle Warfle Snick where they have to compete to win in order to go back home and if they lose they'll spend the rest of eternity there but come across a challenge where they have to choose one member of the team to live.)

• Bob: Let start with the smart one. Who did you vote? (Looks) Hunk! Why Hunk?

• Pidge: Hunk is the kindest guy I know, so if the is someone who will bring the universes together it's him.

• Bob: Hunk they voted for you, who did you vote for? (Looks) He voted for Allura! Why Allura?

• Hunk: Allura is like our leader and she's a princess, so she has to go.

• Bob: Who did you vote for Allura? (Looks) You voted for Pidge!

• Allura: Well I think Pidge and her family have the best chance of finishing what my father started.

• Bob: Let see who did the dum one voted for. (Looks) He voted for Keith.

• Lance: Keith is our leader and also, he's half Galra, so I think he's the future.

• Bob: Keith, its all up to you, Lance voted for you, who did you vote for? (Looks) You voted for Lance?!

• Lance: You voted for me? (Smiles) thanks Keith.

• Bob: Why Lance?

• Keith: I just don't want to spend the rest of eternity with Lance. (Lance stops smiling)

• Bob: So none of you voted for themselves?

• Pidge: So I guess we'll be staying here for the rest of eternity than.

• Bob: No! But you will... All be going home!!

• Voltron (except Keith): What!!

(The team get transported back to their lions)

• Hunk: Guys, I just had the strangest dream where were all competing for our lives.

• Pidge: Wait! You had it too?

• Lance: I had it too.

• Keith: So it was all real.

• Allura: Huh! Maybe Bob is real.

• Coran: Wait! Did you say Bob?

• Allura: Coran do you know him?

• Coran: Bob is an Interdimensional being who is so powerful, many have said that those who meet Bob are met with good luck in their journey, some rarely see him so seeing him is an honour.

• Keith: So we did see him.

• Coran: Wait! You really did see him I wish I was there.
