Dialogue

Wallace:(through intercom) Get me up Gromit, another great day of inventing beckons, ha-ha.

Wallace: Morning, Gromit! How's my favourite pooch?

Wallace: Oh, you do look after me, lad.

Wallace: Cracking toast, Gromit!

Norbot: [repeated line] Hi. I'm your nifty odd-jobbing robot. Call me Norbot.

---

[At the museum presentation of the Blue Diamond...]

PC Albert: And there we have it, ladies and gentlemen. Safely on display for all posterity. The blue diamond.

[All of a sudden, PC Mukherjee gasps and the crowd looks on in shock.]

Man: [disappointed] It's not as shiny in real life, is it?

PC Albert: [confused] You wot?

[PC Albert glances over. In his hand, where the diamond is meant to be, is a turnip. Albert yelps in shock and drops the turnip onto the diamond's pillow.]

PC Albert: That's a flippin' TURNIP!!!

[Everyone gasps.]

PC Mukherjee: You didn't check inside the sack, chief, before you put it in the vault?

PC Albert: Erm... [realises in horror] Oh...

[PC Albert has a flashback to Wallace handing him the sack, before locking it in the safe.]

PC Albert: [in flashback] Right! Anyone fancy a pint?

[Snap back to the present day.]

PC Albert: Oh...

PC Mukherjee: So, if you've been guarding a turnip all these years, then... where is the Blue Diamond?!

Wallace: I just don't get it. Why would me own gnomes turn against me?!

[The evil gnomes part, revealing Feathers McGraw at the doorway in his chicken disguise.]

Wallace: A chicken?! Behind all this?!

[Feathers removes the glove from his head.]

Wallace: Good grief! It's you! Again! But you're supposed to be locked up! Well, you won't get away with it, you know! Whatever it is you're trying to get away with.

[Feathers looks up at the teapot. One of the gnomes retrieves it for Feathers.]

Wallace: Eh? Wha...? Huh? Oh, fancy a cup of tea, do you? The cheek of it! [Feathers approaches Wallace, holding the teapot] Well, I wouldn't bother with that teapot. It doesn't work!

[Feathers lifts up the teapot...]

Wallace: Eh?

[...and lets it fall to the ground and smash into pieces. Wallace and Gromit look down in shock.]

Wallace: What?

[The Blue Diamond was revealed to be inside the teapot. Feathers picks up the diamond.]

Wallace: Well, butter me crumpets! It can't be! It's the Blue Diamond. He must have switched it all that time ago.

[Cue a flashback to Wallace calling the police with Feathers tied up in the kitchen.]

Wallace: Oh. Is that the police? We've got someone here you might be interested in. [Feathers looks up at the diamond and the teapot] He's a slippery one.

[Back to the present day.]

Wallace: Oh, so that's your plan. [the gnomes take him and Gromit to the closet] You get away scot-free with the diamond, and everyone thinks I'm the evil inventor who stole it. [Feathers nods] Why that's... that's... vengeance most fowl!

[The gnomes shut Wallace and Gromit in the closet and lock them in.]

Wallace: Give him the diamond, lad. I can live without inventing, but I can't live without... [gulps] me best pal. [Gromit, close to tears, looks moved at Wallace's words]
