Wish is a 2023 American 3D computer/2D traditional animated musical fantasy film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures as well as the studio's 62nd feature-length film. It follows a 17-year-old girl named Asha, who makes a passionate plea to the stars in a moment of need when she senses a darkness in the Kingdom of Rosas that no one else does.

Directed by Chris Buck and Fawn Veerasunthorn. Screenplay by Jennifer Lee and Allison Moore. Story by Jennifer Lee, Chris Buck, Fawn Veerasunthorn and Allison Moore. Songs by Julia Michaels and Benjamin Rice.

  • [looking at a wish] Oh! Fantasyland in the sky, huh? How about NEVERLAND?! [crushes the wish, then picks up another one] A perfect nanny for your horrible children? POPPIN' THIS ONE! [crushes wish as he laughs evilly, picks up another] True love? How sweet. [crushes wish as he's angrily] So much for true love! [grunts, evil laugh]
  • People come here because they know they can't make their own dreams come true. The journey's too hard, it is too "unfair". They give their wishes to me, willingly, and I make it so they forget their worries.

King Magnifico: The people entrust me with every wish, and I grant those that do not put Rosas at risk.
Asha: So some wishes will never come true?
King Magnifico: Not some, many.
Asha: But everyone deserves it...
King Magnifico: I decide what they deserve!
Asha: [as Valentino eats some of Star's fairy dust] Wha-what are you doing? Valentino, don't eat that!
Valentino: [suddenly speaking] It didn't work. When does the magic happen? [realizes he can now talk] I'm talking, I am talking! Ha! Who knew my voice would be this low?
King Magnifico: That's right, Asha. You've been turned in. Now, where is it? Where's the star?!
Sabino: There's nothing here for you!
King Magnifico: How'd you do it? Huh? What sorcery did you use?
Asha: I know no sorcery!
King Magnifico: You ripped a star from the sky and used it to steal from me!
Asha: The wishes don't belong to you! You were never gonna grant my Saba's wish! And he deserves to have it back! They all deserve—
King Magnifico: I told you, I decide what they deserve!
Sakina: Please, Your Majesty! She made a mistake. She won't do it again.
King Magnifico: Oh, I know she won't. [pulls out a wish orb from his robe] Does THIS feel familiar, Sakina?
Sakina: My wish!
King Magnifico: Yes! Your wish that you gave to me for safekeeping. 'Cause we all know what happens to wishes out in this... this real world. They get crushed! [clenches the wish and destroys it in a burst of green smoke. Sakina winces in agony and collapses to the floor]
Asha: Mama!
Sabino: SAKINA! NO!
King Magnifico: [gazes at the Sickly Green Glow emitting from his palms, with a demonic smirk] Ooh... What's this? What a gift! All this time, I've protected the wishes not knowing... the power they yield! I feel as if I can do... anything. The star. I must have it.
Asha: Let’s go! Now!
King Magnifico: To harness a star... Ooh, a staff. A staff of such power, even the night will bow to my command. Perfect. One branch of mountain ash bathed in Tollen’s potion. Molten iron for strength, copper for a strike. And most important, the power cast from the innocent hearts of three. You dared to question me and all that I do for you. You don’t deserve to be granted. But, through me, you may serve a greater purpose.
Villager #1: My love.
Villager #2: Such sadness.
King Magnifico: [evil laugh] Yes! Yes! YES! Amaya, darling! Come, come! You're just in time to meet my new toy. Now that is power! Am I glowing? I feel as if I am, yes?
Queen Amaya: How could you? You know the ways of forbidden magic are...
King Magnifico: Unappreciated. Much like I am by my own people. By that girl. She did this. She pulled a star from the sky to destroy everything I’ve built.
Queen Amaya: Asha? No, she only wanted her family’s wishes back.
King Magnifico: [angrily] Do you side with the traitor, Amaya?
Queen Amaya: No. No. You know I would never side with a traitor of Rosas.
King Magnifico: [angrily grunts]
Queen Amaya: I have believed in you from the moment we met. We built this kingdom together. There is nothing more important than that.
King Magnifico: [evil glares at her] Wonderful. Now, let’s go set the stage. I’m on the hunt! [evil laugh]
King Magnifico: GOOD EVENING, ROSAS! Wow, the stars are out tonight. Oh, except for you. You’re trapped now, aren’t you? But you see, what can I say? I really, really don’t like being betrayed.
Queen Amaya:It is you who betrays your people!
King Magnifico: Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope, nope. I’ve had enough of you.
Hal: Your Majesty!
King Magnifico: Your little trick didn’t work, Amaya. I still got what I wanted. What’s this? The wishes aren’t yours to free. They are mine! Now, bow down to your king!
Asha: Star, get away from there! No!
Dahlia: Asha!
King Magnifico: Well, hello, Asha. So glad you could join us. How’s the whole “taking your wish into your own hands” working out for you? Oh, wait. I don’t actually care. Hello, there. Let’s do this!
Asha: STAR!!! NO!!!
King Magnifico: Yes. Mirrors, Mirrors on the wall, who is the handsomest? ME!
Sabino: No!
King Magnifico: I win. Wishes really do come true.
Asha: [angrily] You don't deserve Star!
King Magnifico: I told you, I decide! Oh, no, you don’t. There'll be no wishing on stars ever again! In fact, there'll be no more hope, no more dreams, and no escape! [evil laugh]
Villager: Run!
King Magnifico: No chance to rise up! No one to tell any tales! No one to challenge me ever again! You... are... NOTHING!
Asha: We... are... stars. [singing] ♪ So I look out at the stars just like me... / And I'm begging for you, to see this as a sign— ♪ AHHH!
King Magnifico: You really need to learn to give up.
Asha: [singing] ♪ 'Cause I know that if you choose to stand beside me ♪ AHHH!
Dahlia: [singing] ♪ We'll be greater than all his magic combined / So I make this wish ♪

Queen Amaya: We all did.
Gabo: Never trust a handsome face. That’s why I hang out with you guys.
Safi: Aw, you get over here.
King Magnifico: [muffled] Hello? Hello? This is your King. (Amaya gasped) Oh, Amaya, thank goodness! Do you see what they’ve done to me?
Queen Amaya: Hmm. Well, you do love mirrors.
King Magnifico: That is not funny. Get me out of here at once.
Queen Amaya: No.
King Magnifico: What? After everything I’ve done for you, for Rosas? THIS IS THE THANKS I GET?!
Queen Amaya: This is the thanks you deserve. Hang it on the wall... in the dungeon.
King Magnifico: Please, no! The dungeon smells really bad!
[crowd cheering]
