- I've tried to find out why children, especially girls, are not as educated in Africa and other developing countries and one thing I noticed is culture. More value is placed on boys than girls, and there's this belief that the girl's name would change when she gets married, so there is no need to give them resources that are already little.
- I want to make sure that on the African continent, girls have the opportunity to go to school and get a good education.
- I want to try and tell positive stories, especially African stories.
- Girls do need help to catch up to the same level that boys are right now, especially in regard to equal opportunity whether it's education or any opportunity that comes up as they get older.
