Frank Outlaw questionnable source
Hello! You have sourced a quote as "Frank Outlaw" in Farmer's Digest (1978), p. 20, but I do not seem to find any further reference to this, nor any pointer as to which "Farmer's Digest" this may be, or anything else could make it verifiable. Did you verify this source personally, or just copied it from somewhere? Most sources on the net attribute it to unknown person, maybe the most relevant which I've found was:
"Editor's note: This quote is widely attributed to Frank Outlaw on the Web, but we've found no confirmation that this is the correct source. Popular quotation books — including Bartlett's Familiar Quotations (17th ed., 2002), Roget's International Thesaurus of Quotations (1970) and The Harper Book of Quotations (3rd ed., 1993) — do not include this quote or any reference to Frank Outlaw. In July 2003, we received an e-mail message from Elizabeth C., who claims to have penned the verse and sent it in 1998 to members of an e-mail group of people living with lupus. Another e-mailer, however, notes that he first came upon this quote in 1996 at a workshop in the UK." — [Josephson Institute], .

- A quick search of Google Books reveals that the quote in question is in Vol. 42:
- Watch your thoughts, for they become words.
Watch your words, for they become actions.
Watch your actions, for they become habits.
Watch your habits, for they become character.
Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.
- "Frank Outlaw" in Farmer's Digest, Vol. 42 (1978), p. 20; also in A Treasury of Days : 365 Thoughts on the Art of Living (1983) by Dee Danner Barwick, p. 23
I have no idea whether "Frank Outlaw" was the actual legal name of the author, or a pseudonym, but it is also attributed to him in other publications from the early 1980s, one of which has now been added to the citation. ~ Kalki (talk · contributions) 09:44, 2 March 2010 (UTC)
I found another website attributing this quote to Frank Outlaw. This quote is NOT from Lao Tsu in the Tao Te Ching.
