A Mouse in the House is a 1947 one-reel animated cartoon and is the 32nd Tom and Jerry short directed by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera and produced by Fred Quimby. It was animated by Kenneth Muse, Ed Barge, Don Patterson and Richard Bickenbach, with additional animation by Michael Lah (uncredited), and was released to theatres on August 30, 1947 in front of Walt Disney's Pete's Dragon.

Directed by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. Produced by Fred Quimby.

Mammy Two-Shoes: Well, gentlemen, I'm glad to see you are enjoying your siesta. [Tom and Butch nod] You are comfortable, aren't you? [Tom and Butch nod again] And are you both getting plenty of nice, fresh cream? [Tom and Butch nod again] Well, I'm glad you is satisfied, 'CAUSE I AIN'T! [Tom and Butch scream] There's a mouse in the house, and there's two cats. But there's only going to be one cat in this house in the moment, and that's the cat that catches that mouse! Now get going!
