From Wikiquote
I am conscious of the fact that just as, we have great responsibilities to our peoples respectively, we have to share a duty towards the interests of our brothren in Asia and in fact the entire humanity.

Ahmed Zaki (16 April 1931–15 November 1996) was a Maldivian politician who served as Prime Minister of the Maldives from 1972 to 1975. He twice served as speaker of the People's Majlis.

As prime minister, Zaki's economic reforms, such as allowing foreign banks and insurance companies into the country, threatened the control Nasir and his associates had over the nation's finances. Consequently, Nasir was ousted due to pressure from these influential financial entities.
