There are Category:Wikiquote:Indefinitely blocked users created in 2006 but not so much used. I renamed it and after found there are almost indentical categories. I think a merger and reconstruction would be better. Your opinion will be welcome! --Aphaia 04:15, 7 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Is there a reason we should even have a category for blocked users? It requires one more administrative task (adding a category or a category-bearing template to the user/talk page) that we might forget to do. Anything that requires multiple steps pretty much guarantees it won't always be done correctly. Is there something that a category would provide that we can't just as easily get from either Special:Ipblocklist or Special:Log? Neither of those can be intefered with by editors, but tags can be removed from user pages, and to stop that, we'd either have to watch every single blocked-user page or protect them all from editing (yet another step for each block). It just seems like unnecessary work to me. ~ Jeff Q (talk) 06:06, 7 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Point taken. I think however even not in general there might be a case such template insert make a sense; impostors. Specially after those guys made bad edits, it would be nice of you to put a notice those accounts shouldn't be attributed to the users widely known in those name. I think it courtesy, not definitely necessity though. --Aphaia 12:57, 7 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
