Category talk:World War II

Categories for World War II

While I realize that many countries participated in some fashion in an event as large as World War II, it seems a bit excessive to have a category for it on within so many other categories. I doubt that someone looking into Mongolia or Bolivia would think consider World War II as a topic. Just because a country was a part of the war does not seem to mean we need to have such categorization. I would reserve it for the dominant countries or countries where battles actually occurred (like Germany, the U.S., United Kingdom, Italy, Japan, Soviet Union, etc.). As it stands now, with so many countries listed, it seems like overkill. ~ UDScott (talk) 17:25, 30 September 2020 (UTC)
