Delicacy is the quality of being delicate. A delicacy is a food item that is considered highly desirable in various cultures. Often this is because of unusual flavors or characteristics, or because it is rare compared to the availability of other foodstuffs.

  • Too great refinement is false delicacy, and true delicacy is solid refinement.
