Disgust is one of our most basic emotions – the only one that we have to learn – and nothing triggers it more reliably than the strange food of others. ~ Arnold van Huis, Joost Van Itterbeeck, Harmke Klunder, Esther Mertens, Afton Halloran, Giulia Muirand, Paul Vantomme

Disgust is an emotional response of revulsion to something considered offensive or unpleasant.  In The Expression of the Emotions in Man and Animals, Charles Darwin wrote that disgust is a sensation that refers to something revolting.
