This is a list of last words spoken by characters in the Mega Man video game franchise.

Mega Man and Bass

• Humph... He's gone... I wish I had a transportation system in me... Goodbye, Bass! I think we could have been good friends...

  • Notes: A robot built by Dr. Wily to lead a rebellion against humans to create a human-free nation. In Bass' ending, he is supposedly destroyed in the self-destruct of his own fortress. Following this, Proto Man destroys Wily's plans for King II. It is suggested King survived Mega Man's ending in the same game, suggested by a letter Mega Man received at the game's ending addressed to him by King himself.

Mega Man V

• You fool, Mega Man! You have mettled with my plan for the last time. We could have created a new world for all robots! How can I face my master now? I must redeem myself by blowing you to pieces!

  • Notes: The final boss of Mega Man V, Sunstar, was created by Dr. Wily as the "ultimate doomsday weapon". When he is defeated, Mega Man offers help, but Sunstar turns it down, and his resulting explosion destroys Wily Star as Mega Man escapes.

Mega Man X Series

  • Who: Bit
  • Source: Mega Man X3
  • Notes: The first line is said if X defeats Bit with his weakness (Frost Shield), and explodes after saying these lines. The second line is said if Bit survived the first encounter and his partner, Byte, did not. He then transforms into Godkarmachine O Inary, and is destroyed afterwards. The third line is said if both characters survived each encounter. They say these last lines together. Both Bit and Byte transform into the aforementioned super-form, and is destroyed.

• No! How can this great power be generated from within such an ancient machine!? Well done, X. The victory is yours.
• X, I've been waiting for you. It was an impressive victory over Bit. Unfortunately, it was your last!!

  • Notes: The first line is said if X defeats Byte with his weakness (Tornado Fang or Ray Splasher), and explodes after saying this. The second line is said if Byte survived the first encounter and Bit did not. He then transforms into Godkarmachine O Inary, but is destroyed. The third line is said if both characters survived the first encounters. Both characters say the line together. They then combine and transform into the aforementioned super-form, but is defeated.

I created a horrific new body for him... [Mega Man X: Where is the body now?] It's in the underground hangar of this lab... I don't think Sigma has occupied it yet... Don't worry about me...   • Notes: Character is defeated by X, and informs the latter that he was not responsible for the revolt, but rather Sigma. The first line is said if Zero is still active, although Doppler's fate after this is never revealed. The second line is said if Zero had to go back for repairs. Just as Sigma is about to possess X, Doppler arrives just in time and sacrifices himself to use the anti-virus on Sigma. It is unknown which outcome is canon.

  • Notes: Character was an evil clone of Zero made by the villain Gate that challenged X to a fight in a secret area of the Investigator Stages. The quotes are located based on the level select screen.

• Kugh. I lost even though I used Zero's DNA... No... Ugh... I should've... analyzed it more... Wa... was there a... fault in the program...? But... ack... this is not the end. I don't... ack... give up so easily... I prepared for this just in case. Ha ha. I really... don't want to use this... I might be destroyed as well, but... I brought back the evil... Si... Sigma...   • Notes: Gate had just been defeated by X/Zero, and lamented his loss for a bit before revealing his greatest accomplishment: reviving Sigma, who then shot him with a laser. Gate's ultimate fate remains unknown.

  • Notes: Character was conducting a business meeting with Aluce when Red Alert invaded. He went out to investigate only to be killed by Axl, who assumed his identity.

• What... what happened?! How... did you do that?!

  • Notes: After Cedar left, he fled down a passageway, only to be confronted by a person who Aluce thought was his partner but was Axl in disguise. After Axl shot Aluce, he revealed himself, prompting the dying Aluce to ask this in disbelief before dying.

• Axl... He's right... It's my time... Let me go first... You're still young... No need to rush...

  • Notes: Sigma had been manipulating him throughout the game. After Axl, X, and Zero defeated him, Red revealed that he had set the base to explode. Axl tried to rescue Red, but Zero held Axl back. As Axl hesitated, Red spoke these words in an effort to get Axl to leave. Red presumably perished in the base's explosion.

• Impossible! How... could you... You couldn't... Destroy... the old... world... new age... Hrrgh!

  • Notes: After these last lines, Sigma explodes and his broken body collapses on the staircase. This is Sigma's tenth and (presumably) final death. Lumine, who steps out of the shadows, says to X, Zero and Axl that he is dead and not returning. It is unknown if his claims are true, however.

• Unbelievable... You may have defeated me, but it's too late to stop what's already begun... (Axl: I'll take on plenty more like you, if that's what it takes.) Ha ha ha. You really don't have a grasp of the situation, do you? Oh well... You'll find out soon enough...

  • Notes: Says this after his final defeat. However, Axl (just a bit upset that he was used in an evil-takeover scheme) tries to attack Lumine, only to be hit a parting gift: multiple tentacles which Zero destroys immediately.

  • Notes: After being defeated in the final battle against him, Redips admits his disgust for friendly Reploids to X and his comrades and hoped to change the world, before succumbing to his injuries.

Mega Man Zero

• Wha-?! What kind of monsters are these?!

  • Notes: This line refers to the Golems, who presumably destroy him as well as several other soldiers.

  • Notes: Character sacrificed herself to awaken Zero.

  • Notes: Character ran the Disposal Center and was going to destroy a Resistance Soldier when Zero arrived, upon which Falcon said this line before being destroyed by Zero.

  • Notes: Says this before dueling Zero, who defeats and destroys him.

  • Notes: Character says this line after being beaten by Zero a second time and just before self-destructing in an attempt to keep Zero away from Copy X. However, he comes back (albiet as a Cyber-Elf) in Mega Man Zero 3.

  • Notes: Character had just been beaten by Zero and had earlier wondered why he lost even though he was a hero. When Zero replies that the original X was a hero because he (X) was not as naive as Copy X, he says this line before self-destructing to try to kill Zero (this happens a lot.). However, he comes back in Zero 3 too, only as Copy X Mk-II.

• We are ready to open fire, sir.

  • Notes: Character was part of an army leading an attack upon Neo Arcadia, and informed Elpizo, the Commander, of the troops' readiness. After Elpizo gives the order to attack, he and the soldier transferr to the battle lines, where all but Elpizo are killed.
