Dialogue
[edit]- Benji Dunn: [showing a glove] Now remember: "Blue is glue!".
- Ethan Hunt: And when it's red?
- Benji Dunn: Dead.
- Benji Dunn: I have arrived at the party!
- Ethan Hunt: Mission accomplished!
- Brandt: [after getting out of a giant fan] That's it. Next time, I get to seduce the rich guy.
- Brandt: 26 minutes till door knock... 25 minutes till door knock... 24 minutes till door knock...
- Ethan Hunt: The countdown is not helping.
- Brandt: I'm just saying.
- Benji Dunn: Why am I Pluto? It's not even a planet anymore!
- Brandt: Well, Uranus is still available.
- Benji Dunn: [sarcastically] Ha, it's funny because you said anus.
- Ethan Hunt: Light the fuse.
- Brandt: You're line's not long enough.
- Ethan Hunt: No shit!
- Ethan Hunt: Did you jump?
- Brandt: Should I not have jumped? 'Cause I jumped!
- Brandt: Next time I get to seduce the rich guy.
- Kurt Hendricks: [recorded footage] How will the world finally end? It is my job to predict the unthinkable, to treat the deaths of billions as a game. After twenty years of this, I was numb, until a new question crossed my mind. What happens after the end of the world? Every two or three million years, some natural catastrophe devastates all life on Earth, but life goes on, and what little remains is made stronger. Put simply, world destruction is an unpleasant but necessary part of evolution. What happens then, I wondered, when mankind faces the next end of the world? I looked to Hiroshima, Nagasaki: thriving cities rebuilt from the ashes, monuments to the unimaginable, dedicated to the concept of peace. It occurred to me here that nuclear war might have a place in the natural order. But only if it could be controlled. Only if it touched every living soul equally.
- Ethan Hunt: Failure to a terrorist is just a rehearsal for success. We lose Hendricks today, he finds another way with no IMF to stop him. So it's now or never. Give me the case!
- Brandt: Nothing can be left to the chance!
- Ethan Hunt: You're the analyst, you tell me there is not another way for Hendricks to get these codes. This is his only avenue right here, right now & today. You tell me that I'll walk away!
- Ethan Hunt: (Mask's will be ruined) We go without...
- Benji: Without MASKS!!
- Ethan Hunt: Jane needs to go.
- Jane: Ethan you'd be walking Moureau's room unarmed. Face first literally!
- Ethan Hunt: How do we know they've met?!
- Jane: How do we know they haven't?!
- Brandt: It doesn't matter. (Brandt gives the brief case to ethan) We have no choice!
