Before and after a face lift

Rhytidectomy, also known as facial lift, rhytidoplasty and more generically facelift is a type of cosmetic surgery procedure used to give a more youthful facial appearance.

Quotes on Rhytidectomy:

[edit]
  • As I grow older, I reveal my character, not my death. [...] For the good of humanity, cosmetic surgery should be prohibited and facelifts should be considered a crime against humanity. (James Hillman)
  • Women are like cars. Every now and then they have to do a small service. For those of us who are always in front of the public, the State should pay for a bit of a facelift. (Loredana Bertè)
  • Words like design and facelift have a sinister sound. They say the same. The plasticization of objects and bodies, their lifeless shimmer, like fish left to die on the shore. We outline a world that we should wear like a wetsuit to fit perfectly and in which however our movements become false and slowed down, closed in a hood that takes our breath away. Remodeled bodies that inhabit and use equally remodeled places. (Roberto Peregalli)
  • This year I treated myself to a small eye lift. And while I was at it I asked that they also remove my lacrimal ducts. I didn't use them anyway. (Glee)
