This is the talk page for discussing improvements to the Absurdism page.

Absurdism Organized[edit]

I will probably add quite a bit to this page over coming months — and will arrange the sections for separate works chronologically for a time, as is the case on pages for particular people, but if the page ever becomes large enough to create alphabetized sections by author, I will move those sections for works into being subsections of these, as has occurred on a few other pages. I do not expect that to occur for several months or perhaps years. ~ Kalki··☳☶ 09:26, 10 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have been expanding this page faster than I had initially thought I might, and am beginning to believe I might break this into alphabetized sections sometime this week perhaps — but am considering retaining the chronological sequence of those works with enough absurdist expression to have their own sections, below these. As people might surmise, I am something of an absurdist myself — and would say that I have been one since my earliest years of life, and I have found much delight in exploring the various expressions made in somber or intentionally silly ways by others. Like Albert Camus I consider absurdity a fundamental absolute — and something eternal beyond all attempts to disregard it or eradicated it. ~ Kalki··☳☶ 17:18, 11 January 2012 (UTC) + tweaks[reply]

I am back online, from another location, and though I might be too busy to do much here for a few hours, I believe that I have come up with ideas that will be acceptable to most of those who have objected elsewhere to some of the material currently upon this page. I will COPY the chronological works I have been including in the article to THIS page, where people CAN freely comment and discuss the appropriateness of the material for the page. I agree that MUCH if not most of it should probably eventually be removed, but wish to be able to make significant points on the matter, as things proceed over the coming weeks. I MUST attend to a few other things now — and will check in here when I can, and probably have a few hours free later in the night. AND HERE THEY ARE (a sub-page was created for the disputed state as of 2012·01·19, for people who wish to comment upon it). So it goes… Answer to Life.png Caput mortuum.svg File:Don't panic.svg Swirlyclock.png Sahasrara.svg ~ Kalki··☳☶ 00:44, 14 January 2012 (UTC) + tweaks.[reply]

I just created the above sub-page out of deference to length of page — I will probaby do extensive trimming and restructuring on the article page itself within the next week or so. ~ Kalki·· 20:49, 19 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

In order to accommodate those with slower internet connections I massively reduced much of the material I had added here, and will gradually restore only some of it in coming weeks. Removing much of it slowly did not seem a viable option, and adding back only some of it after more thorough considerations in coming weeks does seem the better procedure. ~ Kalki·· 18:47, 1 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
