This is the talk page for discussing improvements to the Founding Fathers of the United States page.

To address concerns about neutral point of view, I have moved all images to the alphabetic heading to which they correspond. ~ Peter1c (talk) 20:43, 6 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

UDScott: this quote is tangential and is not about the Founding Fathers, why it should be here? Rupert Loup 14:46, 9 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
I don't particularly feel strongly about this one, but I also don't see a compelling reason to remove it. It does seem to describe qualities that were deemed by some to be indicative of those held by the Founding Fathers (which is why I restored it). Whether or not one agrees with that sentiment is irrelevant to me. In general, unless a quote has obviously no connection to the topic at hand, I tend to leave it in if it is properly sourced. ~ UDScott (talk) 15:01, 9 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
There are a lot of notable authors that talk about those qualities directly. The quote lacks originality and is not closely related with the subject WQ:Q. Rupert Loup 02:23, 10 January 2020 (UTC)
the quote does not lack "originality", the quote is related to the topic of the founding fathers explicitly. --2001:8003:4085:8100:48CF:76FD:81E1:E40 05:44, 10 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
Not according with that policy. Rupert Loup 06:03, 10 January 2020 (UTC)
you have vaguely said "not according with that policy". The quote is not against WQ:Q. --2001:8003:4085:8100:48CF:76FD:81E1:E40 06:10, 10 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
"A quote should be attributed to the person who coined it or the work in which it first appeared." the qualities of the founding fathers is something that several authors addresed before, including former US presidents and politicians. Also the subject of the quote is John Hart, not the Founding Fathers. Rupert Loup 06:48, 10 January 2020 (UTC)
the quote is attributed to who said it: David Barton. The quote says "This is like many of the Founding Fathers." --2001:8003:4085:8100:48CF:76FD:81E1:E40 07:02, 10 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
And? Rupert Loup 07:07, 10 January 2020 (UTC)
rupert loop you have been brazenly defying UDScott's edits because you don't like that he disagreed with you. And you didn't address what is written above. --1.136.106.70 08:23, 10 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
