Talk:Fufu
Add topicNotability
[edit]Again an obscure person whose article seems not to be found on Japanese Wikpedia (cf. w:ja:Category:1701年生. Also the bio seems to be doubtful. It is unlikely to happen, so notable to some extent, but there seems no mention on Japanese Wikipedia (samurai was no occupation, but a class someone was born into, so it was hardly to "quit" or "stripped", unless that person breached laws). I don't say this is a hoax but there would be some misunderstandings. A samurai and poet could be the accurate description, though there is no further clue on this person outsides of this article. --Aphaia (talk) 06:00, 29 August 2021 (UTC)
Watanabe Moriyoshi
[edit]NDL Web Authorities gives a result for our inquiry on the author 1701-1762 but it is unclear this "Watanabe" is identical with out author. The Watanabe was born as a samurai, but his aliases listed there seem not to read as "Fufu", as flollows:
Name / Title 渡辺, 守由, 1701-1762 Katakana Transcription of Name / Title ワタナベ, モリヨシ Roman Transliteration of Name / Title Watanabe, Moriyoshi Variant Name(s) / Title(s) 子邦(字); 渡辺, 善右衛門ワタナベ, ゼンウエモン; 助五郎(幼名); 助之進(幼名)
Variant names read Shiho, Watanabe Zen-uemon, Suegoro, Sukenoshin. Nothing meets Fufu.
They are different people or not? If you would like further investigation, a copy of Watanabe books is found among Toronto University Library[1]. --Aphaia (talk) 08:37, 2 September 2021 (UTC)
