the quote "the world is a tragedy to those who feel, a comedy to those who think," has also been credited to Horace Walpole. In fact, it too was featured as a quote of the day on a certain october 24. It has recently been featured on may 9th and credited to Jean de La Bruyere. I find this interesting. Could anyone clarify which man claimed this quote initially? —This unsigned comment is by Gowikiit (talk • contribs) .
- As for date, unless it is misattributed to La Bruyère, La Bruyère was the precedent. But a question if really Walpole said it (either quoting or not) or just it is misattributed is interesting.
Thank you for bring it up! --Aphaia 05:24, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
