Removal of huge tract[edit]

I just removed the recent addition of a huge passage, which began with "So I was thinkin' about relationships", for two reasons. First, Wikiquote focuses on pithy (i.e., brief and memorable) quotes, not large excerpts of material. Second, the only source provided is the album Any Given Thursday, with no indication of whether it is part of a song, a spoken track, from the liner notes, or even an interview about the album. If the second problem is resolved with a specific source, I would ask that only a pithy excerpt of the material be re-added to the article. ~ Jeff Q (talk) 07:24, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • I'm good. I'm fierce. And I'm not some gaming overachiever. I just have a skill. I was born to kill bionically augmented men.

  • I miss the days when all I would do in my free time was play the first version of (the video game) Halo. The game was perfect. It was so balanced in terms of risk vs reward you could lose yourself in it for hours, if not days. People would plan to meet up only to challenge each other to multiplayer battles. Male-female relationships fractured under the Halo regime. When the sequel came out, it’s as if they changed too much in the fundamental experience, and the game lost its once unfailing charm. All the game developers had to do was put out a sequel to Halo that added new maps, weapons, vehicles and opponents. Everything else was pitch perfect.
  • I know the franchise has done extremely well, but I wish they’d revisit the first Halo and just add some new secondary elements while keeping the heart and soul of the original going. Forget about XBOX live functionality. In person multiplayer only. I long for the days when every TV in the house would be ripped from it’s location and repurposed as part of a makeshift home arcade. Lock your doors, pour 64 ounces of your favorite beverage and tell your loved ones you will be in touch. I may just have to break out the original and spend a weekend revisiting the good old days way back in the 2000s. Sent from my flying car

Please consider adding the following quote[edit]

I don't do a lot here (I'm mostly at WP), so instead of adding this to the article even though I have a newspaper From The Utica Pheonix, Making the Ultimate Sacrifice: Andrew Goodman, Honored in Adirondacks by C. Harris-Lockwood, January 8, 2015 (Retrieved January 10, 2015):

“Belief is a beautiful armor
But makes for the heaviest sword
Like punching under water
You never can hit who you’re trying for”
– John Mayer, “Belief”
Y Done - I've added a section for song lyrics and added many from his albums. ~ UDScott (talk) 15:01, 12 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
