"Racist" allegations[edit]

Noel was not shy about his anti-white racism and communism. Take a read of his Wikipedia page. That he was a racist and a communist belongs on this page. --1.152.109.99 11:58, 22 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

  • The introductory terms used on the Wikipedia are both adequate and more accurate than such assertions. It is clear that he was rather controversial and deliberately sensationalist in his expressions, in such ways as I believe most would not endorse as advisable, but the charge of "racism" is actually distortion of his ideas, based on quite a confused interpretation or misinterpretation of his easily confusing and easily misinterpreted expressions. To say he was "anti-racist" would actually be more accurate, as he was basically rejecting many notions of "race" as objective realities, and adamantly asserting that they rather arise and exist as "social constructs" which he wished to entirely abolish. That actually does NOT equate to "racism", but a peculiar form of opposition to it, though clearly many of his statements can easily be misunderstood as "racist", outside of the unusual and generally unfamiliar contexts in which he expressed them. I personally find his confusing sensationalism as inadvisable, but I find many diverse forms of confused or confusing sensationalism many people quite proudly and boldly engage in rather inadvisable. ~ ♌︎Kalki·⚓︎ 12:19, 22 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
