This template is used to nominate templates for deletion, providing a discreet alert to readers of pages using the template that minimizes the impact on the page itself.

Usage

{{vfd-template-new|template name|VfD entry name}}

where:

template name is the name of the template (without the Template: prefix)

template name is the optional VfD discussion title (if different from Template:template name)

Notes

• The "template name" parameter is required to allow the correct VfD message to be shown on the pages the template is used in.

• The "VfD entry name" parameter currently only works if the discussion title begins with "Template:" and the value given the parameter is the complete title but without the "Template:" prefix.

• Templates which include this template will be added to Category:Votes for deletion.
