Template talk:Vfd-redirect

This template can be used to post a notice in the Talk page of an article that was preserved as a redirect after a vote for deletion, as required by Wikiquote:Deletion policy. It has the form:

{{vfd-redirect|ENTRY|REDIRECTED_TO}}

where ENTRY is the title of the VfD archive entry, and REDIRECTED_TO is the title of the article to which this page is redirected. Both titles are case-sensitive and should include all punctuation except wiki markup. For example, if the Vfd archive entry is:

[[Jacqueline]]

and the page's new content is:

#REDIRECT [[Jacqueline Moore]]

the template use would look like:

{{vfd-redirect|Jacqueline|Jacqueline Moore}}

which would appear in the article's Talk page as:

This page was preserved as a redirect to Jacqueline Moore after a vote for its deletion. See its archived VfD entry for details.

Other text may follow this template, and adding this posting to a Talk page should always be accompanied by a signature. Always test the link to the VfD archive entry in a Show Preview window before saving the posting.
