The Stepfather may refer to one of the following films, loosely based on the crimes of John List:
- The Stepfather (1987 film) - a film starring Terry O'Quinn, Jill Schoelen and Shelley Hack about a man who, after murdering his entire family, remarries a widow with a teenage daughter in another town and prepares to do it all over again.
- The Stepfather (2009 film) - the remake of the original film, starring Dylan Walsh, Sela Ward, and Penn Badgley, about a boy who returns home from military school to find his mother happily in love and living with her new boyfriend. As the two men get to know each other, he becomes more and more suspicious of the man who is always there with a helpful hand.
