Ulpia Severina in an aureus of the time (Palazzo Massimo alle Terme, Rome)

Ulpia Severina (fl. C.E.274-275), wife of the Roman Emperor Aurelian and Augusta of the Empire.

Quotes about Ulpia Severina[edit]

Severina was not beautiful, but in exchange she had a grave air, a big heart, and noble inclinations. The Bridegroom followed Template:NDR in all his military expeditions, even after he was [sic]; nor was it of little avail to him to assure him of the love of the troops by liberalities made for the purpose, and by obligatory courtesies rendered even to the least of the soldiers. Most of this information is taken from medals; for we don't even have his name from historians. (Jacques Roergas de Serviez)
