Quotes should never be removed without a comment in the edit summary, and should almost always be moved to the Talk page with a note that they were removed from the article, giving full reasoning. If it is a misattribution, the quote should not be removed, instead moving to a "Misattributed" section, where explanation of the misattribution can be made in a subbullet. The quote in question appears even in several books, so while I agree the source might be dubious, it still should not be removed altogether. Instead, I've moved the quote to the "Attributed" (usually called "Disputed") section. If you disagree, feel free to ask the opinion of a more experienced editor.
