We welcome you to Sts. Peter and Paul Parish church page and hope that you consider joining us as a member to share in the joy of Christ and to help serve the community of God's children.

We know that many of you are visiting this page for the first time and we hope that you feel the same connection that has drawn all of us to this parish community.

We also know that many of you are searching for a church home. We have room in our sanctuary and room in our hearts to welcome all who choose to join our parish family.

Sts. Peter and Paul Parish had more than 4000 parishioners by the end of the nineteenth century. By the 1960's the number dwindled to less than 400 as industry moved into the area and parishioners moved into the suburbs.

In the 1980's people began to move in the Soulard neighborhood to restore neglected houses. And today, we attract people from throughout the metropolitan St. Louis area who believe in our parish mission.

Nearly 90% of our parishioners live outside the neighborhood, and each weekend new worshippers come from all over the St. Louis area to celebrate Mass in one of the most unique and attractive settings in the St. Louis area.

Sts. Peter and Paul Parish is not only a place of worship — we are stewards of the community and active in our mission of helping all those who are in need.

Located directly below our sanctuary is a homeless shelter that houses 70 men each night. Each year in our parish hall more than 600 volunteers serve over 25,000 meals to those who would otherwise go hungry.

The Peter and Paul Community Services provides transitional housing programs, a mental health service program and also provides housing and support to those who are living with HIV and AIDS.

These programs began with a humble need to serve, but have continued to grow in service and scope as more and more individuals discovered our helping hands through homelessness.

Sts. Peter and Paul is home to The Young Catholic Musicians, an orchestra and choir of more than 100 young people from over 60 schools and churches in Metro St. Louis. Our Pastor, Father Bruce Forman, develops the orchestrations and conducts these talented musicians as they proclaim God's love in their Ministry of Music

A Personal Parish Sts. Peter and Paul Parish in historic Soulard is a personal parish of the Archdiocese of St. Louis. We come from near and far, from diverse backgrounds, cultures and stations in life. However, we all share a common bond — knowing that the service we provide, the worship we celebrate and the community of faith we are building is opening hearts to Christ.
