Comparing Canada's approach with other countries

[edit]

I just discovered this: City council gives final plat approval for luxury Semiahmoo subdivision on a little known local paper located in a little town in Washington state. I found this article interesting because when I see news in Canada I get the impression that government is more concerned with the affordability of housing (which is the reason given by governments for imposing the speculation tax) than with delivering new luxury subdivisions.

Offtopic trivia: the Northern Light, which is the little known local paper I referred to above, currently has no page I can look up on any wmf-wiki. If it did, I could look up its External links section instead having to use google to locate its url. This would have saved me a lot of time since google is currently inundated with northern lights news that are totally irrelevant for this purpose. Ottawahitech (talk) 15:02, 1 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
