Is KJIVA appropriate for inclusion?

I've come here via enWP, where there's a whole walled garden concerning this rapper (all articles are currently at AFD). I don't know what Wikiquote's inclusion criteria are, but perhaps somebody can have a look at KJIVA. (And I actually also don't know either whether this is the right place to ask this question, so apologies if this is the wrong venue). Hello Kitty. Not really the right place to ask, but that's okay. I am already watching the Wikipedia discussions on this person[1] and related article farm[2][3][4][5][6][7] and ancillary pages[8][9][10]. Depending on the outcome, I will either speedy-delete it, or propose routine deletion, or if the outcome is indecisive, take it to a vote here. It looks like an open-and-shut case to me, but it is usually best to wait for matters to settle at Wikipedia first, in order to avoid duplicating (and protracting) the arguments. ~ Ningauble (talk) 17:06, 30 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Randykitty, in more than eight years at Wikiquote this is the first time anyone remarked on my pseudonymsake. This board is nominally used to research the origins of quotations. The Village pump is more suited to discussing general wiki affairs. Looking for a quote confirmation, "The best government is the worst government"

Hello :)

Many years ago, I heard passing reference to an alleged quote by the Chamber of Commerce (National) in the 1920's or thereabouts.

Supposedly, someone representing them said "The best government is the worst government" or words to that effect. The intimation being that they wanted a weak federal government that would allow them to act without regulation.

I have not been able to verify this quote in the years since and I am wondering if anyone is able to debunk this. (or bunk it, as the case may be :)

Any search I have done is stymied by innumerable quotes by Lincoln and Churchill.

I can't find that exact quote. "The best government is that which governs least" (or "That government is best which governs least"—from the opening sentence of Henry David Thoreau's "Resistance to Civil Government"—and "The best government is the one that governs [the] least") are popular variants. I'm also reminded of Bertrand Russell's remark in The Problem of China: "Nine-tenths of the activities of a modern Government are harmful; therefore the worse they are performed, the better." ~ DanielTom (talk) 09:45, 24 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Correction of name in title of Wikiquote page

Our Deng Xiaoping article quotes it as "some areas must get rich before others" (with no source). This Guardian article [11] claims it was in 1992: In 1992 the late Deng Xiaoping, the Chinese former leader and father of "socialism with Chinese characteristics", said: "Let a part of the population get rich first."
