Bernard Hollowood[edit]

Thanks for the edit to that article. I'll remember that if I start any more articles. And I've copied some ideas from your userpage for mine!--Ole.Holm 16:55, 24 October 2009 (UTC)

This is the third warning for your disruptive editing over [1] Kedaaar Jo Sheee (talk) 18:22, 12 June 2013 (UTC)
Comedy stuff, Sir! (Blogs can be used as primary sources on Wikiquote; and aren't there reliable secondary/tertiary sources cited for every quote?) ~ RogDel (talk) 20:37, 12 June 2013 (UTC)

Trolling[edit]

Trolling your userpage is so much fun! The admins and editors here are softies compared to the hard nuts at Wikipedia. --Technoquasy (talk) 09:53, 14 June 2013 (UTC)

Oregano[edit]

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Oregano, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but it may not satisfy Wikiquote's criteria for inclusion, for the reasons given in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikiquote is not" and Wikiquote's deletion policy).

You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Votes for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. ~ Ningauble (talk) 17:41, 17 June 2013 (UTC)

"The world is my lobster."[edit]

I find an earlier source for this quote:

  • Long as we're not sticking with English, I figure the world is my lobster.
    • Joni Hilton, Scrambled Home Evenings: A Novel (1994), page 75.

Can you provide an earlier date of authorship for Tillman? If not, it would seem that Hilton should be credited as the author of this quote. Cheers! BD2412 T 19:15, 19 June 2013 (UTC)

Maybe I can't. ~ RogDel (talk) 19:23, 19 June 2013 (UTC)

re. comment[edit]

I also believe that one or two of Joshi's quotes are indeed "notable" enough to warrant inclusion (hence my "keep" vote in the appropriate discussion). Cheers ~ DanielTom (talk) 18:43, 16 August 2013 (UTC)

Taking into account Wikiquote:Quotability’s view that The presence of a quote in a published collection of quotations is strong evidence of quotability, both as to the quote and as to the author of the quote, and the fact that I agree with that view, and that Joshi seems to be quoted in a minimum of 7 independent & reliable secondary sources (some of which may actually be tertiary), I believe that like many others, not only some of Joshi’s quotes but Joshi himself is notable on Wikiquote. Cheers. ~ RogDel (talk) 19:35, 16 August 2013 (UTC)

Re-arguing Kedar Joshi[edit]

Please stop re-arguing the Kedar Joshi case in other unrelated discussions, as you have been doing very extensively at Wikiquote:Votes for deletion/Harmon Leon. These digressions are becoming disruptive. If you want to have a constructive discussion about creating or revising some of Wikiquote's guidelines then please take it to a more appropriate venue like the Village Pump. ~ Ningauble (talk) 19:02, 16 August 2013 (UTC)
