William West Anderson (September 19, 1928 – June 9, 2017), commonly known as Adam West, was an American actor whose career spanned seven decades. He is best known for portraying Batman in the 1960s ABC series Batman and its theatrical feature film.

• I am devastated at the loss of one of my very dearest friends. Adam and I had a special friendship for more than 50 years.
