Argylle

Argylle is a 2024 spy action comedy film about a popular spy thriller novelist whose life becomes immersed into an actual spy caper chase due to a plot twist that reveals she is the subject of a spy agency experiment due to amnesia inflicted from a mission gone awry.

Aidan: Had to bring the cat.

Elly: What did you expect me to do, leave him to fend for himself? Come on!

Aidan: He's be fine. Cat ladies always die alone and cats figure it out.

Elly: I am not a cat lady. I'm not. And what's your problem with my cat exactly? He's really cute. He's cuddly and loyal.

Aidan: Oh, please. You suddenly drop dead, that cat's chewing your ears off within forty-eight hours max.

Elly: Which with you around, gets more likely by the minute.

Elly: [Standing outside an apartment door] No one's home? What should we do?

Aidan: Well, I am a spy after all. [Starts picking door lock and they enter the apartment to find completely bare] All right. Writer's intuition, huh?

Elly: Notice anything?

Aidan: Yeah, Bakunin was loaded. He wouldn't live in a dump like this.

Ritter: [In command center] Team one, what's your status?

Hit team member: [In a speeding van] We're two miles out.

Elly: No, it's wallpaper over brick. Does that seem normal to you?

Aidan: Uh, whoever lived here had bad taste? Can we- ca- let's- let's split. [Elly tears down off a wallpaper strip] What are you doing?!

Elly: Look, look, look, there's a line, this is a clue. [Points to white splotch on dark bricks] Look at this.

Aidan: That's spackle. That's plaster. Let's go.

Elly: This is something.

Aidan: We got 95 more locations to check. Come on. Let's get outta here.
