Dubious quote
[edit]While I realize that the original version of this page was under Charles Inge (someone whom I'm not sure exists), I am highly skeptical that the listed quote is properly attributed to the baseball player Brandon Inge. Perhaps more research is needed into the quote to find its proper author. ~ UDScott (talk) 21:14, 29 January 2014 (UTC)
- done, thanks. I will be watching this page for a few days. Thanks for bringing this up Scott. --~~Goldenburg111 21:16, 29 January 2014 (UTC)
- In fact, this very quote also exists on WQ on the Plans page, attributed to Charles Inge, Cleric. On Monsieur Coué ~ UDScott (talk) 21:18, 29 January 2014 (UTC)
- And further research shows (at this link) that it is indeed attributed to Charles Inge, and even provides a date for the work. ~ UDScott (talk) 21:20, 29 January 2014 (UTC)

- So it appears that Charles Inge was at best a minor figure (a vicar and rural dean of Oxford - see this link). I doubt he is notable enough for a page here. The quote is a good one and is properly placed on the Plans page. I would leave it at that and delete this page. ~ UDScott (talk) 21:25, 29 January 2014 (UTC)
- I agree to the deletion, there is barely any information on Charles Inge in the first place. --~~Goldenburg111 21:29, 29 January 2014 (UTC)
- Disagree with deletion, page at Wikipedia is not a requirement, this person is quoted in numerous established dictionaries of quotations. I added some information about him, including dates of birth/death, and occupations. Seems a harmless page to keep. ~ DanielTom (talk) 21:37, 29 January 2014 (UTC)
- Looks pretty good to me now. OK with not deleting. Nice teamwork on this one. ~ UDScott (talk) 21:44, 29 January 2014 (UTC)
- Nice job Daniel, happy to see that you repaired the page "for me" :) --~~Goldenburg111 21:46, 29 January 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks. I found the true source of the quote here. The Oxford Dictionary of Quotations should hire me. ~ DanielTom (talk) 21:48, 29 January 2014 (UTC)
