Categories not supported by the page
[edit]I often see pages in categories that seem unjustified. On this page, for example, I see Category:Catholics from the United States. It takes quite a bit of time to follow the links to enwiki to checK if there is justification for the category, and of course one has to assume that there are never any errors in enwiki :-)
I would feel much better if we do not include categories that are not mentioned in the WQ introduction or supported by the quotes. Opinions? Ottawahitech (talk) 02:03, 24 January 2021 (UTC)
- I would not support this, as I believe there are plenty of categories that fit people that need not be mentioned in the intro (which are usually kept fairly lean). Should a category be disputed, then a discussion can be held about it. But if we limit categories in this way, I fear that we will not have very many on people pages. ~ UDScott (talk) 19:54, 24 January 2021 (UTC)
