Foals in Trouble
[edit]- Benni: [Narrating] Following the safe return of escaped lion to its home in the circus, life returned to normal for the creatures of the high country. And what could be more normal than for two curious foals to be out exploring secret and mysterious places they have not visited before. But the young and inexperienced are often oblivious to dangers older and wiser heads have become we off.
- Currawong: [in Mopoke's body] Oh mighty Brolga, Thowra's arrived with a cranky old Wombat.
- Brolga: What? How many times have I told you, Mopoke. I'm not interested in.
- Currawong: [in Mopoke's body] It's me, sire, Currawong.
- Benni: [Narrating] So the Brolga's not happy to have his thunder stolen is he a king still worthy of the name. But at least Mopoke and Currawong now know who they are, along with the other creatures of the High Country. It would seem however that Thowra must be on his guard.

The Cave of Wonder
[edit]- Benni: [Narrating] Following the ravages of a long cold winter, the creatures of the High Country take delight in the spring air and look forward to the coming months of warmth and abundant food.
- Thowra: I am READY! [echoes and whinnies]
- Arrow: Help! HHHEEELLLPPPP!!!!
- Benni: [Narrating] So the creatures of the High Country came to fear and respect even more the awesome and unpredictable power of nature, while discovering an underground world they never knew existed. And Thowra took heart from Yarraman's wise words as he moved one step closer to his ultimate destiny.
A Bothersome Nuisance
[edit]- Benni: [Narrating] Following Thowra's adventure in the secret caverns deep beneath the High Country, life returned pretty much to normal. Arrow was grateful not having to spend his remaining days trapped in darkness with nothing but frogs and moss to eat and he would be even more grateful for a great honor that was about to be bestowed upon him.
- The Prince of the West:
- The Man: Got you, my find friend.
- Brolga: So here we have it. A smart alec who thought he could impress my daughter with deeds of daring eh. But ended up needing saving himself.
- The Prince of the West: Listen, Thowra, it was going well until that stupid Arrow…
- Brolga: Thowra! [roars] How dare you insult me by confusing the mighty Brolga with that puny weakling.
- The Prince of the West: Oh all right, Brolga. I don't know who's who around here but Boon Boon and a few others seem to be pretty impressed with Thowra whoever he is.
- Brolga: What? Get out of the High Country while you're still able stranger. And that's my advice to you.
- The Prince of the West: Oh yeah well I'm known as the Prince of the West a born leader I wouldn't mind taking over here myself.
- Benni: [Narrating] It would seem with the help of Wombat and the Brolga, that the Prince of the West will have to find a partner elsewhere. Most animals of the High Country meanwhile eagerly await Thowra's return. But Arrow having enjoyed a taste of power is not as eager as the others.
Getting Together
[edit]- Benni: [Narrating] Boon Boon having to save the herds from capture did not put Arrow's leadership in a favourable light. Especially considering his aspirations to become King of the Cascade brumbies.
- Benni: [Narrating] It would seen that the Brolga's humiliation is the last straw. If only checked out Currawong's monster story he would not have lost face. But it had to happen sooner or later. The time for the final battle to decide who is King of the Cascade brumbies has come.
The Final Encounter
[edit]- Benni: [Narrating] There was a slight feeling of change in the air. The creatures of the high country knew it was there. As when the first hint of a spring breeze breaks winter's icy grip. It was felt by all that the final clash between Thowra and the Brolga could not be far off the title of King of the Cascade brumbies the prize.
- Brolga: All right, Thowra. You win. Get it over with. One push and I'm out of your life forever.
- Thowra: I Thowra, and now king of the cascade brumbies. I promise to rule with the same justice and wisdom. As did my father, the great Yarraman. I do further decree that the Brolga's life be spared, but he is to be banished from the high country forever. He may seek new pastures but is never to return to my kingdom again.
- Brolga: I accept your conditions, Thowra. But for Aranda's sake more so than my own. I acknowledge Thowra as the new king of the cascade brumbies.
- Arrow: Oh what!
- Animals: Hooray!
- Currawong: Anything I can do for you mighty Thowra. I can help out in lots of ways keeping an eye on troublemakers let you in on the latest gossip all that kind of thing. [laughs]
- Benni: [Narrating] And so the High Country had a new monarch of all the wild brumbies. A leader who promised to rule with justice and wisdom and did so without Currawong's help. And from Thowra and Boon Boon came forth a whole generation of wise and noble brumbies. Brumbies born to be leaders from that time on.
