There's really no need for all the extra contextual info - this is a site for quotes and that is our primary focus. The extra information just distracts from the quotes and is only kept if it is necessary to understand the quote or is somehow critical to know. The remaining cuts that were made were to trim the quotes down to a manageable level (and to avoid copyright violation from quoting a film too extensively).
