Lugbara proverbs
[edit]I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Lugbara proverbs, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but it may not satisfy Wikiquote's criteria for inclusion, for the reasons given in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikiquote is not" and Wikiquote's deletion policy).
You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Votes for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. ~ Ningauble (talk) 16:03, 5 July 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for the proposal, well the Lugbara are a tribe in Northwestern Uganda, northeastern Congo, southwestern Sudan and the rest of Uganda. There are also many speakers in the diaspora. The total of speakers is above one million as Wikipedia requires but this wisdom is all sourced. Trust me, i have been editing on Wikipedia for almost one year now by invitation. I happen to be one of the people cleaning up Lugbara articles and i will try to get those sources if no one else helps me out, thanks! Aikolugbara (talk) 17:34, 5 July 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for rescuing the article by adding some citations. I have moved the unsourced items to the article's talk page pending further research. ~ Ningauble (talk) 17:35, 6 July 2013 (UTC)
Well, i had created this out of courtesy to share my research, but since the quotes are not sourced, i guess you have a right to remove them, but my original motive was to share Lugbara wisdom I collected from my parents, relatives, other Lugbara plus music and books. I'm actually the one who created the Lugbara Proverbs article on Wikipedia. Thanks!Aikolugbara (talk) 17:56, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
Hi Aikolugbara. I replied to your note on my talk page. ~ Ningauble (talk) 13:54, 27 April 2014 (UTC)
