re Wikilinking within a quote?
[edit]Yes, again, just like with the bolding, wikilinking within a quote is a violation of NPOV. Unless the word itself was linked within the secondary source for that quote, itself, then that becomes the user's own decision to draw attention to a particular word, which is a violation of NPOV by emphasizing that user's POV. Both bolding and wikilinking within a quote should be avoided. -- Cirt (talk) 14:25, 9 February 2015 (UTC)
- Nevertheless, I found this delink unfortunate, as most of us don't speak Latin, and I really don't think the helpful inclusion of Wiktionary's definition for a fortiori colors the author's (Cohen) original intent with my POV. --DigitalBluster (talk) 22:34, 11 February 2015 (UTC)
- If you wish to add a note t a quote - add the note. Wikipaper is cheap. Collect (talk) 14:32, 14 February 2015 (UTC)
FYI
[edit]The section you started on my user talk page has been moved, not by myself, but is now at Wikiquote:Village_pump#Wikilinking_within_a_quote. -- Cirt (talk) 15:03, 9 February 2015 (UTC)
Thank you very much
[edit]Thank you very much for your comments at Village Pump about the inappropriateness of wikilinking and bolding within quoted text.
Much appreciated.
Thanks again,
