This above is the version of the layout originally devised before being crudely censored for no clear reasons beyond paring away of images to indicate the potential association of ideas of Arago on the wave nature of light and a simple astronomical symbol which he used. ~ ♞☤☮♌Kalki·†·⚓⊙☳☶⚡ 21:27, 25 February 2014 (UTC) + tweak
- In this case, I agree with you that I see no reason why the above layout couldn't be used. ~ UDScott (talk) 21:31, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
- I appreciate your comment, and though I am sure we can disagree in many ways on the layout at Wikiquote talk:Quote of the day/February 25, 2014, I would much appreciate it if this one were restored to what it originally was, as it is currently locked to general editing. ~ ♞☤☮♌Kalki·†·⚓⊙☳☶⚡ 21:44, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
- I just noticed you had already restored it. Thanks much. ~ ♞☤☮♌Kalki·†·⚓⊙☳☶⚡ 21:46, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
- Please explain per Wikiquote:Image use policy how these center two images are directly related to the quote, or they will be removed, thank you. -- Cirt (talk) 00:58, 26 February 2014 (UTC)

Reduced image sizes
[edit]Reduced image sizes.

Thank you,

How are the center two images related?
[edit]How are the center two images related to the quote?
Current usage violates Wikiquote:Image use policy.
The center two images should be removed.
Thank you,

- GEE WHIZ GOLLY GOSH! Wonders will never cease. An actually intelligent question has been posited by Cirt, if only in a derisive and presumptive way, followed by derisive statements and dictatorial assertions. The questioning of "How are the center two images related" to François Arago's prodigious contributions to some fields of science are exactly the kind of curiosity a good presentation of elements related to a person or a quote should incite in a normally intelligent person. ~ ♞☤☮♌Kalki·†·⚓⊙☳☶⚡ 01:11, 26 February 2014 (UTC)
- Please explain the relevance. -- Cirt (talk) 01:12, 26 February 2014 (UTC)
Removed excessive wiki linking
[edit]Removed excessive wiki linking.
It detracts from the quote itself.
It also violates WQ:NPOV, based on the bias of the individual choosing which words to wikilink.
But again, it is quite excessive.
Thank you,

- Again very false, presumptive and arrogantly dictatorial statements and assessments are being made here. This is a Wiki — which is a project BASED on the assumption that providing Hypertext Wikilinks to various concepts is a service to the investigation of those important things known as "ideas" which I know many people find heretical and troublesome, and seem to think it is a proper and necessary thing to suppress and limit so much as they can. ~ ♞☤☮♌Kalki·†·⚓⊙☳☶⚡ 01:11, 26 February 2014 (UTC)
