Restorations[edit]

Recently, I have not had time to even monitor many things on the project so regularly as I once used to do regularly, let alone do much editing, but I have just restored major quotations from the KJV which had existed on the page since February 2011, as well as images relevant to them, until some recent removals by a single editor. I have retained many sectional headings, with links I had provided to the texts in the original hebrew, the KJV translation — and many other translations available for reading in a dual pane framework for each chapter.

I am currently in a bit of a rush, and must be leaving again in a few minutes, but will note that I do not believe these quotes, translations and images should be removed without discussion on the matter. I should be bake within about 12 hrs or so, and have many things to attend to now. So it goes Blessings. ~ Kalki·· 12:42, 5 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Merge proposal of Wisdom of Sirach to here[edit]

The Wisdom of Sirach and Book of Ecclesiastes are the same thing and the earliest created article should have been extended rather than a duplicate created. On the English Wikipedia Wisdom of Sirach is a redirect to Ecclesiastes. @MusenInvincible, as creator do you have any comments? Thankyou. -- User:Djm-leighpark(a)talk 05:56, 9 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Are you sure you don't mean Ecclesiasticus? Antandrus (talk) 05:58, 9 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You're probably right. I'm not going to try to immediately fix as I could make a worse mess of it as I'd be rushing at the end of a session. Anyone else is welcome to fix. If I've unwittingly offended anyone I apologise. -- User:Djm-leighpark(a)talk 06:20, 9 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Easy mistake to make - no worries. Ecclesiasticus and Wisdom of Sirach (book of Sirach or just Sirach) are all the same thing, as far as I know. We absolutely should merge them; I'm surprised I didn't notice that myself when adding a bit to Sirach a few weeks ago. As far as I know Ecclesiastes, the canonical Jewish/Christian Old Testament book has no other name. Antandrus (talk) 15:43, 9 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
