Too many quotes

Thank you for your contributions in adding many film pages. However, you have a tendency to add too many quotes to these pages. Please refrain from this practice (as a guide, check out WQ:Limits on quotations). Many of the pages you created have now been flagged for review based on having too many quotes that could cause copyright concerns. Again, you are placing entirely too many quotes on film pages. Your recent creation of the The Purge: Election Year has 67 quotes on it, which is way too many. This one needs to be immediately trimmed or it will be nominated for deletion for being a copyright violation. I am not trying to be disruptive, I'm just really passionate since I am hearing impaired so the spoken word is precious to me. Palme d'Or

As far as I know, there are not categories for this award - films are just awarded the Palme d'Or no matter what type of film it is. Thus, why are the separated categories necessary (for Palme d'Or for documentaries or for dramas)? ~ UDScott (talk) 16:22, 12 January 2024 (UTC)

Brief block removed

I very briefly blocked this IP, as I noticed removals of category tags from pages. I do not usually concern myself much with categories, beyond the most basic, but others do, and only on further reverting of some removals did I notice that some of the categories removed were created by this IP. Your editing remains confusing to me, but I have at least temporarily removed the block, while I consider things further. I am posting this note to explain my own actions and negate some of my previous comments. I just reverted my own reversions — I had only very recently, in the last day or so, begun switching to the newer "diff" format in editing pages — and seem to have misperceived some of what was indicated in some of the diff presentations on the pages. Thanks for posting this, I thought I was going bananas. I noticed things were different, and now I know that at least the diff is different. Unfortunately I was not given a choice to switch to the new format, but was forced into it. How did you do it?
