Hi Cat's Tuxedo. Welcome to English Wikiquote.

Enjoy! ~ Jeff Q (talk) 03:26, 6 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

reacting to vandals

[edit]

You should simply point out that an IP address has been used by a vandal, as there is usually a possibility that it will be used as others as well. A casual glance at the edit history at User talk:68.44.225.48 might lead to the impression you were merely a vandal. ~ Kalki 03:55, 22 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Why didn't anyone tell me about that?! I'm such a butthead! I got WikiQuote in trouble and it's all my fault! Well, not completely, cuz if they hadn't made the game, we wouldn't be in trouble, but still! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Cat's Tuxedo (talkcontribs) 22:25, 14 April 2006 (UTC)

This is not an uncommon mistake to make. English Wikiquote editors are becoming more sensitive to the perils of copyright violations, after our French sister project was shut down for a year over this issue. We are working to improve enforcement of fair-use excerpting of material, but our documentation of the issues and policy lags somewhat. For now, Wikiquote:Copyrights is the first place to go to get an overview and links to other information. ~ Jeff Q (talk) 20:33, 11 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fictional last words...

Thanks for helping pick up my slack with the division of this super-long entry. Cheers! BD2412 T 03:03, 26 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Crash Bandicoot

[edit]

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Crash Bandicoot, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikiquote's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikiquote is not" and Wikiquote's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Votes for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.
