Now this is contrary to the spirit of Wikipedia.
[edit]Hi Wesha,
First of all congratulations for getting your wish granted at the WQ:VP. It is rare in my experience to have a deleted page restored at the English Wikiquote.
After the page was restored by Koavf and since page restoration is so unusual, I went in to check ancient history of Russian Proverbs (2010-2011) by clicking View history. I saw that UDScott not only deleted Russian proverbs (on 01:43, 28 December 2011 according to the deletion log), but was also the one who prodded it on 17:21, 20 December 2011, even though they never contributed any other edits to the it or to its talkpage. So, I wondered, why was UDScott so keen on this deletion, and delved further.
Lo and behold, on: 21:32, 6 July 2010 the contribution history says:
Ningauble talk contribs 152,424 bytes +25 ,{{unreferenced|article}} (Note current discussion of unreferenced proverb articles at the Village Pump)
I tried to locate this VP discussion (which required me to do an archive search) but failed to find it, sigh.. to be continued you are interested. Cheers Ottawahitech (talk) 23:09, 27 December 2024 (UTC)
