CheckUser

Hi Vituzzu, in the meta-wiki logs I found the following log:

14:40, 2 February 2014 Vituzzu (talk | contribs) changed group membership for User:Vituzzu@enwikiquote from (none) to CheckUser (long-term abuse)

Does this mean you granted yourself CheckUser right on Wikiquote? Personally I would welcome this very much, because then our one active checkuser User:EVula could be reinstalled. -- Mdd (talk) 12:55, 3 February 2014 (UTC)

Sorry, I found another entry stating

Apparently you (maybe unintentionally) granted yourself temporary access rights. -- Mdd (talk) 13:00, 3 February 2014 (UTC)

It was intentional – stewards only grant themselves CU rights (on wikis with no checkusers) for the time they need to run the check. ~ DanielTom (talk) 13:17, 3 February 2014 (UTC)
