Shadow Notebook[edit]

(Shadows notebook:) (This is not the WikiUser Shadow)

Shawn is a notable person. The definition of notable refers to any person who has done something signifigant with thier lives. Because of the fact that everyones view of "signifigance" is relative, you can not say her is not a signifigant person. I will attest to his importance by saying that without him, many people have a high chance of being dead right now. This possible total is higher than a minor terroristic attack.

Shawn Triscari has saved doesens of people, mabie even over 50. I can verify at least 5 of them for him. By denying him the privilage of being a "notable person," you are, in essence, placing him below the rank of a minimal terrorist. Doesn't he reserve the right to retain his dignity as a human? Are you persecuting this man because his views are different from yours? Your site is large, wikipedia staff. Let this man have his dignity and respect, and treat him not as a patron, but as an equal....

Wikimedia trolling[edit]

Your continued posting of irrelevancies in the "Shawn triscari" VfD, instead of helping your case, is only confirming to the community that you have no interest in abiding by Wikiquote's policies and practices. To answer a specific question you raise there:

And you think I am trolling? (not that I really understand it)

I had provided a link to the page w:Wikipedia:What is a troll with the phrase "feeding the trolls" that explains what is meant by a "troll" on Wikimedia projects. (Your apparent failure to actually read the policy links that I've provided is one reason I suspect you are not editing in good faith, and thus may be a troll.) Loosely summarized, a "troll" is someone who repeatedly edits pages not to discusss issues or improve articles, but to annoy other editors. You are already on record as having forged a second vote. You continue to post essays about bucking the system and inventing straw-man arguments to knock them down in an apparent attempt to avoid the only relevant issue of whether your subject meets Wikiquote inclusion requirements. Vast experience with such editors has taught Wikians to ignore them — not "feed the trolls" — because their goal is not to engage in serious discourse, but to encourage editors to waste their time responding to inflammatory postings.

I respond to you here only because there is a small chance that you are truly just an outraged and passionate editor who is simply misunderstanding the purpose of Wikiquote, and we try to ensure every new editor gets some feedback for problems they encounter. But if you continue to post irrelevancies and straw-man arguments, insult other editors, and ignore the issues raised, I will no longer respond, and I doubt you'll get a rise out of anyone else. If your editing escalates into more pointed personal attacks, however, or otherwise violates Wikiquote policies of good-faith editing, you may be blocked. ~ Jeff Q (talk) 17:22, 10 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The case for notability for Shawn triscari[edit]

Please stop trying to make the case for notability on the page itself. A more appropriate place is the VFD entry (at which you have already made your case) or Talk:Shawn triscari. —LrdChaos 13:18, 11 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Block warning[edit]

Shawn, in barely more than 2 full days, you have made nearly 100 edits here that have no purpose other than to promote yourself and your website. This is not only against Wikiquote policy, it is a basic no-no for all Wikimedia Foundation projects. We have tried to get you to read and follow Wikiquote practices, but you have shown no interest in doing anything here other than selling yourself. If you do not cease this activity immediately, I will block your account indefinitely and remove all self-advertising information from your user page.

In more than a year of sysop work, I had never before seen a need to take such drastic action, but for someone who claims humility, you have no equal in self-promotion. ~ Jeff Q (talk) 19:40, 11 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
