Hello, N6n, and welcome to English Wikiquote.

Enjoy! ~ Kalki (talk · contributions) 15:15, 7 September 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the interest in the QOTD pages. Your additions and votes are very welcome, but I must point out that on any of the specific date pages, voting "4" is something which it is customary for only one quote per person per year — so as to prevent too severe an imbalance from developing by any one person's rankings. One can note, as I often do, that one ranks it with a 3 with a lean toward 4, whether slight or strong lean, but in assessing the rankings people give the quotes, too prolific a use of 4 or 0 at the extremes of the scale by any one person would virtually eliminate more moderately ranked suggestions and create extreme imbalances. (I note this because you have currently ranked two quotes at "4" for July 29. — quite a long ways off yet.) ~ Kalki (talk · contributions) 15:15, 7 September 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the note. Also, thanks for qualifying your remarks. I spent almost an hour wondering about the rationale of the earlier idea. I guess I don't have to say now what is wrong with it. N6n 02:28, 8 September 2010 (UTC)
I've been too busy to spend much time here today, and probably will be so for much of the next week, but I have been glancing in occasionally when I've been on the internet, and I recognized my previous error after noting you reduced both your rankings to 3. Sorry about the oversight. ~ Kalki (talk · contributions) 02:44, 8 September 2010 (UTC)

no more quotes from Hans-Georg Gadamer[edit]

I had promised that I will add some quotes from Gadamer’s talk ‘Plato as a Portraitist’, but I wouldn’t be doing that. I did not like the essay.
