LOTR

[edit]

Mate, listen if you enjoy the comic book TV series, I really recommend you watch Lord of the Rings. They're amazing films :D and BTW, this is the scene Cisco referenced. --SuperJew (talk) 08:07, 3 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Marvel Series

[edit]

Hey Ooznoz, was wondering if you watch the Marvel series too (Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Daredevil)? --SuperJew (talk) 19:31, 27 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

The Gifted

[edit]

Hey,

Good to see you back in the editing swing (and having TV series back - I've been catching up on old shows and rewatching Friends and Disney 😅). Have you seen the new show (on Fox) "The Gifted"? I saw the first episode last week and it's quite enjoyable - first episode is directed by Bryan Singer (from the X-men films) and he is co-producer for the show. I was hoping to get a page of quotes for it going and would be happy to have you helping out! :) --SuperJew (talk) 11:33, 11 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Duet "crossover"

[edit]

Hey, I'm wondering if there is a point to having a Duet cross-over page. It's one episode which was set up, but not really a crossover event like Invasion! or Crisis on Earth X. --SuperJew (talk) 15:01, 10 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

And in any event, the Duet page has way too many quotes on it. --SuperJew (talk) 15:05, 10 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

@SuperJew: Well, this is a musical episode, like the "Once More with Feeling" episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, so it's a special event. It also does cross over slightly with Supergirl, enough to make it legit. Hey, if "Flash vs. Arrow", "Heroes Join Forces" and "Duet (The Flash)" have their own Wikipedia pages, Duet can have a Wikiquote page.

As far as the quote amount, the page has different categories of references, so I don't feel it violates the WQ:LOQ. Ooznoz (talk) 18:59, 10 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Well first of all both Flash vs. Arrow and Heroes Join Forces are two episodes, while Duet is only one. Also Invasion! as far as I remember was stylised as separate episodes of their respective shows (style-wise etc.), but as it is 3 episodes (plus a scene), I can see it being legit to have a page on it. Crisis on Earth X is the most obvious one (with it's own opening sequence etc.).
Also, some shows have a Wikipedia page for each of their episodes, so I wouldn't use that as an argument in any direction.
I think the point of having the crossover page is to centeralise the quotes of the storyline to one place. When it's one episode, like Duet I don't see the problem with it being on it's own show.
As far as the quote amount, I don't think the different categories matter (same as the amount of pages the quotes are on don't matter, and we have 5 from each episode on all the Wikiproject). --SuperJew (talk) 19:31, 10 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Okay, I've returned quotes to the Flash page, and I've erased the Duet page. Ooznoz (talk) 22:23, 10 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Really appreciate the convos with you always! --SuperJew (talk) 16:36, 11 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

A bit of inactivity

[edit]

Hey mate,

Saw you're back from hiatus adding quotes etc. which is great. I'm going to be pretty inactive this upcoming month as I'm sitting my semester exams. I'm studying with binge-watching Friends in the background (I've seen most of the episodes of course, but I want to go through all of them in order #completionist_nerd) so I'm editing there a little, but I don't have the time for great shows which actually require my attention :P

Keep up the good work, and I'll be back proper post-exams :) --SuperJew (talk) 14:42, 24 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

@SuperJew: No worries on this end, my friend. Still enjoy doing it. (#needalife lol) Good luck with exams - been there myself in younger days. Not fun. Ooznoz (talk) 18:27, 24 January 2018 (UTC)OoznozReply

New season

[edit]

Hello my friend,

So new season has started and actually I haven't caught up on everything from last season 😅 (still have almost all of Agents of SHIELD season to watch), but gonna try to stay up-to-date, though it's a bit difficult with studies being pretty intense right now. How are you? Watching the new seasons?

--SuperJew (talk) 20:03, 22 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

@SuperJew: Greetings, my friend. Thanks for the message. 😅

Hope your studies are going well. I've no doubt you'll be fine. Just don't burn yourself out or work too hard.

I've been having a rough time these past months. I lost my job back in July, and despite what the news says about the U.S. economy, it's still difficult to find a job that pays enough. Right now, I'm near the end of my rope financially, so I don't know what's in store.

I haven't been watching the current CW shows, although I have DVR'd them. I just don't want to get caught up in shows that I may have to stop watching soon. A pity, because I was really looking forward to Arrow and LOT this time around. But, if I can get on my feet, or at least stay afloat, I'll do some binge watching and get the pages current. :P

I'll try and keep in touch. Stay out of harm's way. Bye for now

Ooznoz (talk) 13:53, 23 October 2018 (UTC)OoznozReply

Sorry to hear. Really hope it works out for you. If you have the time and still want to watch the shows, another option is via CouchTuner. --SuperJew (talk) 16:44, 23 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

@SuperJew: Thanks for the support. I may be living under a bridge soon, so I hope one of my fellow homeless will let me borrow his phone for CouchTuner. lol What really disappoints me is not watching Doctor Who, especially now that there's a Lady Doctor. I always looked forward to editing the Wiki pages for the individual episodes, especially the Continuity sections -- I so love doing that!

I'll let you know how things go, and I hope you'll let me know how you're doing, too. Take care. Ooznoz (talk) 18:45, 23 October 2018 (UTC)OoznozReply

Check-in

[edit]

Hey mate, Just wanted to check-in with you to see how you are doing in these crazy times. All the best and stay well, --SuperJew (talk) 21:50, 14 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

@SuperJew: Hey there, friend. Appreciate the message. :)
Sadly, I lost my job again, so I'm back in the trenches looking for work. I've found a staffing assignment, which will help for a bit, but I'm still looking for full-time work.
Crazy times indeed, you're right. There have been several reported cases of COVID-19 here in the States, including here in Florida. Thankfully, I'm disease-free so far and I take precautions. I'm mainly worried about my parents. They're both 70+ and are in the high-risk category, but so far so good. The news reports here tell of supermarkets running out of things like TP and hand sanitizers as people are stockpiling. Crazy.
I've recently discovered both The Orville and Lucifer, and have thoroughly enjoyed both. I even created an Orville page for Wikiquote, so check it out if you'd like. Sadly, still don't have TV, so I'm only keeping up with Arrowverse through YouTube.
So, how are things with you. Uni still going strong? How's the COVID-19 in your area? PLEASE take care of yourself and yours; the world is more interesting with you in it. Have you been able to keep up with Arrowverse at all, or any other pop culture happenings? The entertainment industry is shutting down worldwide because of the virus -- even The Flash is delaying the completion of this season until further notice.
All the best to you as well, and stay well, too. Thanks for checking in. Talk later. Ooznoz (talk) 01:39, 15 March 2020 (UTC)OoznozReply
Glad to hear you're okay. Keep staying safe! We also haven't been personally hit health-wise, but it's definitely taking a toll on work - 2 of my part time jobs to make up some money have been cancelled for now, and as for my main job - I have today off, paid for by work and they will decide today what will happen with us. Luckily my wife is continuing working for sure, so on a family level we won't be hit as bad, though still hard as we're both students with not much reserves.
Our university is delaying the opening of the second semester by a week and then the lectures and labs will all be online, which is in general I think a good step and actually a good thing to come out of this IMO. I happily managed to pass anatomy finally (after the 8th exam I took)!
Regarding shows, I haven't really managed to keep up... I feel life is super busy and taking a toll and in my free time it's nice to spend time with my wife and we watch "lighter" stuff like Friends or Young Sheldon ;) Didn't even hear they're delaying Flash... seems a bit silly since this is exactly the time people need stuff to watch at home :)
If I run out of shows, I'll check the ones you wrote here ;)
Take care and keep safe and healthy, --SuperJew (talk) 08:23, 15 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
