Command & Conquer Red Alert 3: Uprising[edit]

Hi StarWarsFanBoy. I declined your speedy delete request at Command & Conquer Red Alert 3: Uprising because it does not meet the criteria for speedy deletion. You are right that it is a pointless article, so I changed it to a {{prod}} instead. ~ Ningauble 22:28, 4 November 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Your VfD votes.[edit]

Please refrain from including inapplicable assertions in your VfD votes, such as "vandalism" where an entry is not clearly vandalism, and "fails all policies off the internet", which is not a basis for deleting materials. Cheers! BD2412 T 03:26, 8 November 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Well I'm sorry but the pages are suspected Vandalism and might fail all policies that exist in the wiki..(StarWarsFanBoy 23:15, 8 November 2009 (UTC))Reply[reply]

  • All policies? There are quite a few of them, and even the worst pages can't be said to fail all of them (for example, a page with nothing but gibberish is unlikely to be a copyvio). Wikiquote is not the whole of the Internet, at any rate. Also, inclusion of material that fails for lack of sourcing or notability is not necessarily vandalism. rv CC templates[edit]

Thanks for acknowledging my handiwork. I think there's a special LOQ template somewhere that can remind anyone of the max limits. --Eaglestorm 05:45, 14 November 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Pre - 1923 works[edit]

Any literary work published prior to 1923 is copyright free in the US, so there is no need on these for the {{checkcopyright}} tag. ~ Kalki 23:02, 16 November 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I only place Checkcopyright templates on some of the pages because they have to many quotes from a copyright source and second those pages needs to be trimmed because to avoid the Copyright violations.(StarWarsFanBoy 01:07, 17 November 2009 (UTC))Reply[reply]

Copyright tag[edit]

Although you have appropriately used this tag for many works (e.g. TV shows or films), your recent application of it to Bill Clinton, George Washington, and Bill Gates was not really appropriate. If you will review Wikiquote:Limits on quotations under the section for people, you will see that it is not that the total amount of quotes by the person is too much, but only if too many are pulled from one work or source. For example, if there were entirely too many quotes from an author's novel, you could apply the tag to that person's page. But for these three men, this was not the case. Thanks. ~ UDScott 01:19, 5 December 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Well I only tag some pages with a Checkcopyright because those pages have to many quotes especially South Park, George Washington and Bill Gates and they need to be trimmed. Also please protect Air Force One, Independence Day, Starcraft and Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008 TV series) because a vandal that continues to spam Wikia has moved here. If those pages do not get protected the vandal will spam the pages if those pages don't get protected.(StarWarsFanBoy 01:30, 5 December 2009 (UTC))Reply[reply]

Nice Work![edit]

Nice work on the Julie Brown artical. You are an inspiration to all of us! ISHOOTHORSES 20:59, 20 January 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Your VfD votes (again)[edit]

You've been asked before: please could you stop posting inapplicable boilerplate reasons to Votes for Deletion? It is just timewasting, and your vote won't be taken seriously if it's clearly not based on reasoned and relevant assessment of the page concerned. Gordonofcartoon 18:01, 7 February 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Well sorry but I am only trying to give reasons why those Bad Pages do not belong in this Website. Besides its important that users read manual of style before they start making pages that gets put up for deletion.(StarWarsFanBoy 19:39, 7 February 2010 (UTC))Reply[reply]
Most of your reasons have no relation at all to the content of the articles. If you do this again I'll make a formal complaint to Wikiquote:Administrators' noticeboard. It's long overdue. Gordonofcartoon 01:10, 10 February 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
It's not worth the trouble. Admins already routinely weigh the relevance of the criteria expressed in deletion votes, so let him vote as he wishes for whatever reason he wishes. You said yourself those votes won't be taken seriously, so the time he's wasting is only his own. BD2412 T 14:56, 10 February 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Well, yes and no. Participation at VfD is not the exclusive province of admins. A newcomer could waste their time trying to understand such nonsense and respond to it, as happened here. It seems clear that StarWarsFanBoy's intent is to be disruptive, but is it ok just because the effort has been wholly ineffective against admins and mostly ineffective in general? ~ Ningauble 18:49, 10 February 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I just don't think it's worth as much time addressing as has already been spent on it here. He makes quirky and pointless votes, they get ignored, life goes on. It won't affect the outcome of any nominations; at worst, a few hapless new contributors will be deterred from contributing further. However, if their contributions have already been sent to VfD, they are probably already on that track. BD2412 T 20:35, 10 February 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Well, it's been unclear to me. So StarWarsFanBoy is making these non-votes and fussing about quote limits as some kind of passive-aggressive point because of being sore about some deletion(s)/trimmings in the past: what would be called WP:POINT on Wikipedia? I go with Ningauble; the point has been made, but now it's just a PITA. Gordonofcartoon 11:12, 11 February 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Please read manual of style. Manual of style is a very important policy in this website and its even more important than Limit of Quotes. I told you I only come here to get bad pages deleted now do you understand? I'm only trying to help Wikiquote out by getting rid of the bad articles.(StarWarsFanBoy 05:34, 10 February 2010 (UTC))Reply[reply]

My dear StarWarsFanBoy — I understand that you may be unhappy about some articles that were deleted or trimmed in the past. We get the joke, but it is not funny anymore. You are not just bothering people you disagree with, you are bothering everybody who visits these pages. You made some good edits before, and I hope you will do more. Please do not disrupt Wikiquote for everybody. ~ Ningauble 18:50, 10 February 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I am okay with the trimming and I need only Bad Articles deleted not good ones. Also I am trying to not disrupt Wikiquote and I am not joking on my votes during VFDs. I am trying to tell the truth why bad articles need to be deleted. On trimming I don't do trimming because I rather let the admins trim the pages because I don't know which quote is notable or unmemorable.(StarWarsFanBoy 22:20, 10 February 2010 (UTC))Reply[reply]

You could provide sourcing for unsourced quotes, if it is available. Obviously, a quote for which a source can not be found can not be kept, as it may have just been made up by whoever added it. BD2412 T 01:30, 11 February 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Theme pages[edit]

You've asked several times about what the limit would be for theme pages (for example Selfishness or Tyranny). The answer is that there is no limit for these pages. The limits are for taking too many quotes from a single work (book, film, TV show, etc.), not for having quotes about a topic. ~ UDScott 01:44, 12 February 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

What about both real and fictional People pages? Does those need a quote limit?(StarWarsFanBoy 02:31, 12 February 2010 (UTC))Reply[reply]

For answers, please read WQ:LOQ. But in general there are no limitations on the total number of quotes for People pages, but the limits for individual works by that person must be followed (i.e. do not exceed the book quote limit limit for a book written by a person). ~ UDScott 19:11, 12 February 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

What about fictional characters? How many quotes are allowed on a Fictional Character article and is it okay to create articles that talk about fictional characters?(StarWarsFanBoy 19:27, 11 April 2010 (UTC))Reply[reply]

Can you please take a look at the formatting of the quotes for the older episodes and model your additions to this page after them? I've been coming behind you to clean this up every time you dump quotes for an episode - they are always too many and are not properly formatted. Please take more care in adding just two quotes per episode and have them properly formatted. Thanks. ~ UDScott 00:49, 14 February 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Well I'm sorry but I can't tell which quotes are memorable and unmemorable. I rather let you UDScott and the other admins do the trimming because if I trim the page I might remove the very notable quotes and then the page will have a Prod Template or gets nominated by a VFD.(StarWarsFanBoy 05:31, 14 February 2010 (UTC))Reply[reply]

Look, all I am saying is not to dump a bunch of quotes that are not properly formatted and forcing me or others to do the work for you. If you are unwilling to do that, then your additions will simply be reverted. ~ UDScott 18:32, 14 February 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Thats why we discuss on that articles talkpage to see which quotes are notable from a list of quotes I just added to that talkpage.(StarWarsFanBoy 21:20, 14 February 2010 (UTC))Reply[reply]

You recently posted this false assertion that "everyone picked delete for this page" at Wikiquote:Votes for deletion/Noam Chomsky. Your conduct in VfD discussions is unacceptable. If you will agree to cease your unhelpful participation, I will not seek a community-imposed resolution to your conduct. BD2412 T 18:54, 15 May 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Well I'm sorry but I only want the Bad Articles deleted and VFDs closed ASAP. That is how I clean up wikiquote and besides you admins agreed that Bad and Pointless articles do not belong here and only Good articles will stay.(StarWarsFanBoy 20:05, 15 May 2010 (UTC))Reply[reply]

Very well, have it your way. BD2412 T 21:41, 15 May 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Talk:Xiaolin Showdown[edit]

A while back, you tagged Talk:Xiaolin Showdown with copyright issues.

This tag was removed.

Were these issues fully resolved?

Should the tag remain on the talk page?

Subject: Inappropriate Revisions

Date: September 29, 20 AEPC (After Emperor Palpatine Came)

Dear StarWarsFanBoy:

We here at the Galactic Empire feel that it has thus become necessary for the nation states of Earth to become antiquated to the Empire, and eventually acquiesce to the graceful rule of Lord Vader, and Emperor Palpatine. Which would of course be, in the long run, be beneficial to the continued industrial development, and economic prosperity of your planet. Your revisions in particular have not only caused a disturbance within the Force, but have elicited hope from the scum that are the self proclaimed "Rebel Alliance." These individuals are dangerous to the continued peace and security of our empire. They have already destroyed one of our assets by Yarrin, and are now actively seeking to make your planet their home. In short, restore these changes or else.

Emperor Palpatine as well as Lord Vader
