[edit]- Thank you for your interest. The mail reachability of operator is confirmed. --Aphaia 12:52, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
- So.... May I use the bot? (is there a community in here?) chtit dracotalk 13:33, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry for your confusion, what I meant is that you submitted your request in a valid style = there are all pieces of information we request on the above. As for bot flag, there is no clear approval, so I think we are better to wait for a while. On the other hand, I recommend you to run your bot now without flag, in a low interval (twice in a minute, for example); it may help us to consider we would like your bot to grant a bot flag. If you are complainted to run a bot, you may refer his or her complain to my user talk. I'll try to pursuade the user how test run in this kind is beneficial and generally make no harm. --Aphaia 04:11, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

Rejected bot flags
[edit]Tapernoc Bot
[edit]- Operator: User:Tapernoc
- Bot: User:Tapernoc Bot
- Purpose: Anti Vandalisim.
- Vote closes: 31 Mar 2007 00:00 (UTC)
- Oppose per discussions with this user, I believe this is a hoax. Cbrown1023 talk 21:23, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose Looks fishy to me. There are anti-vandalism bots on en:Wikipedia and if we really want one no doubt we could copy one of those.--Cato 21:39, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
- and get a more experience user that we know and trust to run it. Cbrown1023 talk 21:41, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose Sorry sir, I don't know you. I have therefore currently no good reason to put my trust on you. --Aphaia 15:29, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose. ~ Jeff Q (talk) 20:52, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
Vote closed: four oppositions, no support. This vote isn't extended and closed. No flag was granted.
Comments
[edit]I do not believe that we actually need an anti-vandal bot and I do not believe that Tapernoc is making a true claim. I mean no disrespect, but I think he is not being serious. All the links he provided are not real and lead to empty pages and he claims to have this outrageously named coding that is the best at combatting vandalism. I for one would like to see this code and a few test runs way before we even think of granting a flag. Cbrown1023 talk 20:21, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
- Shall, I initiate a test sequence? Tapernoc 20:22, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
- First tell me exactly what it will do and provide us with the code. Cbrown1023 talk 20:44, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
- Sir, if my calculations are correct, the bot will report cases of vandalisim directally to me, from there, I will select what I choose to be Extreme Vandalisim in such cases, the bot will view the users who preform such vandalssisim with increded scretuenty, if the vandalise again it will not block them, but rater make the vandalisim they preform visible onlyto them (this I was able to achieve through a topsecret exploit hole in the Metawiki software previded exclusivly to my by Mr. Wales), as they bask in their glory of distroying Wkiquote they will really have done nothing. Tapernoc 21:01, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
- Okay, thank you for the clarification, no we know you are joking. Please stop the trolling or you will end up being blocked. Cbrown1023 talk 21:11, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
- I'm not sure I know what you are talking about, could you please clarify? Tapernoc 21:14, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

- Support I have no problem with this task and it looks like it's run on quite a few other wikis, so we can trust the owner. Cbrown1023 talk 23:45, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
- Wiki-mail isn't enabled. I noticed the owner that. Let's see for a while. --Aphaia 20:40, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
- Well, I guess we should until that is enabled. ;-) Cbrown1023 talk 01:28, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
- Wiki-mail isn't enabled. I noticed the owner that. Let's see for a while. --Aphaia 20:40, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
- Not done now: the wiki-mail function on this account is still disabled, and this bot has been inactive since August 2007. The operator will be welcome to submit his request again when he meets the requirements on the above. --Aphaia 11:49, 21 September 2008 (UTC)

-- Cat chi? 16:32, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
- Bureaucrat comment: Regarding the lack of response as well as no test run, this request was declined as disqualified to the review. And it doesn't follow our standard bot naming policy. --Aphaia 02:29, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
- Not done Besides the naming issue, Computer (talk · contributions) has no edit and been inactive, so this request doesn't look make a sense now. The operator will be welcome when he meets the requirements on the above. --Aphaia 11:46, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
